Nicole + Mark | Indianapolis Artsgarden Wedding
It’s busy season for weddings and I couldn’t be happier! Before I share the details of this beautiful wedding, I have to tell you a bit about Nicole and Mark. These two met on Bumble. They first met up at Tin Roof in downtown Indianapolis and danced to Garth Brooks’ “Low Places.” They’ve been inseparable ever since! Mark proposed by bringing Nicole to a “work event” at the Indianapolis Art Museum. The two walked around the museum and stopped in front of a large fountain. It turned out that both of their families were there when Mark got down on one knee and proposed! Some “work event!”
On the day of their wedding, everything took place at the Indianapolis Artsgarden, which is a beautiful floating glass structure in the heart of downtown. This venue perfectly fit Nicole and Mark’s classic style. Before the ceremony, Nicole had a special moment with her mom. Attached to her bouquet was a photo of her grandmother who had recently passed away. It was such a classy and sweet way to honor and remember her and I loved being able to witness the moment! Mark spent the morning with his groomsmen until his mom came to help with some finishing touches. I could feel the excitement building up as everyone got ready!
The ceremony was short, sweet, and personal. Officiating the wedding was one of the couple’s close friends and groomsmen. Their wedding party also had a very special member that is featured in a few photos. The “Dog of Honor” was their sweet pup, Lady Bug (these are seriously my people)! When Nicole walked down the aisle, Mark’s face lit up with the biggest smile! That moment is always one of my favorites to capture! After the vows were exchanged, the entire room cheered as the couple shared their first kiss as husband and wife.
Following the ceremony, we went outside to take portraits and got our own private concert from a gentleman passing by. He sang “Ain’t No Sunshine” while Nicole and Mark had a mini dance party. It was such a fun little added bonus to the day before the real dancing began! At the reception, the wedding party gave hilarious and heartfelt speeches. Everyone had so much fun showing off their dance moves. It was the best end to a fun-filled wedding day!
As you may know, at the end of every blog post, I always share some sweet details about the couples I’m featuring. When asked what they love most about each other, Nicole said, “I love that Mark has never met a stranger. He’s the kindest person I know to the people around him and he genuinely does whatever he can to make me smile and laugh. Plus he always says yes to ice cream and is a crazy dog dad!” Mark said in response to the same question, “I love that Nicole is always upbeat and positive. She spreads that loving positivity to everyone around and her smile is contagious. It’s impossible to not have an amazing time when you’re around her and I never want to be without her. Her bubbly personality and caring character make every day a dream. It sounds cheesy, but she honestly completes me. Not to mention, she’s the best dog mom I’ve ever met!” These two are so amazing together and sweet Lady Bug is a lucky dog! To wrap up, when asked what they want to remember most about this season of their lives 20 years from now, they said, “We want to remember how excited, and anxious, we were to start our lives together!”
