Morgan + Kyle | Southern Indiana Wedding

Wedding season is winding down but I have a few more stories to share with you before we wrap up the year! Today’s story features Morgan and Kyle. These two met in college and eventually got engaged while on vacation!

Their wedding day began with Morgan and Kyle getting ready at Saint James Lutheran Church in Holland, Indiana. Everyone was so excited and every single person had a smile on their face! While Morgan was getting ready, her mom gave her a charm for her bouquet that included her Grandma Mary’s wedding rings re-shaped into a heart. She also gave her a heart-shaped locket that had belonged to her Grandma Rosie. This was such a unique way to incorporate “something old” and “something new,” and was a thoughtful way to honor both grandmothers.

After Morgan was ready, she did a first look with her dad. It was completely obvious that she was his little girl and I loved capturing that sweet moment between them! Shortly following was Morgan and Kyle’s first look. These moments are some of my favorite because you can almost see the nervousness melt away and the excitement building. At this moment, these two were able to focus on being together and prepare themselves to walk down the aisle. After their first look, we added in the rest of the wedding party and had lots of fun capturing the pre-wedding excitement!

After photos were taken, we headed back to Saint James for the ceremony. The church itself was cozy and welcoming and was full of their friends and family members.

After vows were said and rings were exchanged, everyone was ready to get the evening started! The wedding party got on a party bus and headed to the reception which was held at Venue 1408 in Huntingburg, Indiana. Before heading in, I made sure to capture some sunset photos of Morgan and Kyle before the sky got too dark. Finally, they made their grand entrance and the party was on! The wedding party gave some wonderful speeches and shared some hilarious stories about the couple. I also have to mention that they had one of the best cake cuttings I’ve ever seen. Kyle definitely didn’t stand a chance (make sure you check out the photos)!

As always, I ask my couples what they love most about each other. Morgan said, “Kyle is so charismatic and always knows how to make me smile. He keeps me grounded when I need it most and I know he is always there for me.” Kyle said, “I love how caring Morgan is. She makes me laugh and supports me. I can’t see my future without her.”
