Lydia + Andy | Intimate Outdoor Wedding
Today’s blog is a shorter one but still oh so special!
Lydia & Andy had their heart-felt, intimate wedding right in the middle of Ferdinand State Forest (one of their all time favorite places to go hiking), to celebrate their love. They started off with the sweetest first look, exchanged gifts & took some time to just be with each other before their ceremony.
The ceremony was personal & such a perfect representation of them - filled with so much joy, love, laughs & a few happy tears. After these two recited their own vows & officially became husband & wife, we decided to do a little impromptu first dance. This was a little on the spur of the moment & I’m glad we did it before heading off to their reception, where they had the sweetest celebration with close friends & family.
Something I love is getting to learn more about my couples, their story & what they love about each other so I always ask them a few more personal questions. Here’s what Lydia & Andy had to say about each other:
Lydia - What do you love most about your future husband?
I love Andy's smiling eyes, his wit, and his compassion towards others. I appreciate the bond he has with his family. I love that he works with his hands, creating art with wood and music with the guitar. I feel seen and heard by him and that means the most to me. I love that I feel safe with him. Safe to explore this crazy world knowing I have his arms to come home to every day.
Andy - What do you love most about your future wife?
I love everything about Lydia. Initially I admired her entrepreneurial spirit but was soon thereafter taken by her free spirit and overall compassion for anyone who surrounded her, both pets and people. She is also an incredible cook and excellent hiking/adventure companion. I'm looking forward to all the fun we will share in this life together.
What do you want to remember about this season of life 20/30/40 years from now?
The joy of finally finding one another. The excitement of imagining our future together. The passion we share and the love we cultivate.
