Katlyn + Jamison | Evansville Indiana Wedding

The next love story I’m going to tell you about is between two sweet teachers in Southern Indiana. Katlyn and Jamison met at Loge Elementary in Boonville, Indiana where they both worked. The two had never met or crossed paths until a few coworkers decided that they’d be the perfect match and arranged for them to ride together to an after-work “Fun Friday” event. Turns out, they were totally right!

Two-and-a-half years later, Jamison proposed while they were at their favorite summer getaway, French Island Marina. He drove the boat near an island where they were all alone, got down on one knee, and popped the question! He even had her ring custom made and it is absolutely perfect (just look at the photos)!

Fast-forward to the wedding day! The Bride and her bridesmaids got ready at the DoubleTree in downtown Evansville, Indiana. This was definitely my favorite part of the day. Katlyn did a “first look” with her bridesmaids and it was obvious that they were all so happy and proud of her! Her mom and sister both gave her gifts after the “first look”; a Cinderella slipper charm and perfume. There were tons of hugs and there so much love and emotion in the room from so many amazing women!

The ceremony took place at Main Street Baptist Church in Boonville. Katlyn and her dad were all smiles and completely glowing as they walked down the aisle. On the other end, Jamison was holding back tears watching them. It was just the sweetest moment! At the end of the ceremony, Katlyn and Jamison took time to give every person there a hug and thank them for coming. I’ve never seen a couple do this before and it was such a thoughtful way to end the ceremony.

After the ceremony, as luck would have it, the sun finally came out after raining all day and created the perfect evening glow for their photos. It was amazing timing!

Their reception was at Cambridge Golf Course in Evansville. One of the best moments of the night was watching Katlyn and Jamison dance with the kids that were there. The kids were all dying to dance with them and it was really fun to watch!

I want to include a few more sweet details to wrap up this post. When asked what they love most about each other, Katlyn said how much she admires Jamison’s big heart, how hard he works, and how they enjoy all of their favorite hobbies together. Jamison said that he loves their amazing adventures, how she keeps him in line (as it should be!), and how they are always able to compromise.

When asked what they want to remember about this season of their lives 20 years from now, they said that they want to remember the effort, excitement, bliss, and even the stress they felt while planning their wedding together. They want to remember the joy and excitement the moment after Katlyn said “yes” and how good it feels to have all of the support and love from family and friends.

I hope you all enjoy the photos of this sweet and perfect couple as much as I enjoyed shooting them!
