Jordan + Seth | Southern Indiana Wedding
I’m SO excited to tell you all about Jordan and Seth’s wedding! Obviously, these two are a beautiful couple, but what made this day even more special for me to shoot is that Jordan was one of my closest friends in high school. We used to go on what we called “Sunday strolls” every week and laugh and talk about life. We used to goof around and get into trouble like most high school girls back then. Those times are so fun to look back on, but I love this new season in Jordan’s life and she was a gorgeous bride!
Moving on to the couple, these two met at Indiana State University’s Homecoming in 2015. Two of their mutual friends got married the following summer and they ended up walking together in the wedding. Talk about foreshadowing, right? When Seth decided to propose to Jordan, he tricked her by telling her that he “wanted to see what being inside a cloud was like” and took her to Lookout Mountain in Tennessee to do just that (or so she thought). They two ended up at Sunset Rock and Seth got down on one knee. Obviously, we know what Jordan’s answer was! She also mentioned that the inside of a cloud is cold and wet! Too funny.
Before the ceremony, Jordan & Seth did a first look. They couldn't stop smiling and laughing the entire time. Their sweet dog, Mose, even joined a few photos! Their ceremony was held at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Ferdinand, Indiana and was officiated by Father Tom Kessler. Father Kessler gave a heartfelt sermon and even cracked some jokes during the ceremony. The wedding party and guest list was intimate and each person in attendance was close to the couple in some way. Because of this, the entire day was full of laughter and love. I could tell that each person was genuinely happy to be there and support Jordan and Seth!
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Klubhaus 61 in Jasper, Indiana.
I wanted to wrap up by saying proud I am of my friend and how happy I was to be a part of her wedding. We had so much fun back in high school, but this version of her is by far my favorite. I know she will be an amazing wife!
As always, I have to end on a sweet note! When asked Jordan and Seth love most about each other, Jordan said “the steady and loving presence he always provides.” Seth mentioned that he loves how passionate Jordan can be about things she cares about. When asked what they want to remember about this season of their lives 20 years from now, they said, “We hope we remember the love and sense of family we have. Every leap we’ve taken has proven to us that we are capable. We hope we never stop taking risks and growing together.”
