Pura Vida | My Trip to Costa Rica
Pura Vida, which translates to "pure life", isn't just the saying of Costa Rica, but words to live by.
I fell madly in love the second we started our decent & I could see the landscape out of my tiny airplane window. I had the ocean, mountains & rainforests, all right there, ready to explore. As a Midwesterner, I very rarely get to see anything like this & basically just melt every time I smell/hear/see the ocean.
While I totally could have sat at the beach all day, every day & been just fine, Costa Rica had so much to offer. A few things we did were horseback riding, zip lining, repelling down a 180 ft. waterfall, riding ATV's through the rainforest, boating, snorkeling & visiting Manuel Antonio National Park. Repelling was something I had never done before & was BIG TIME out of my comfort zone but it ended up being one of my favorite things. Something I will note is that if you go to the national park, hire a guide. We would have missed so many things if we would had gone on our own, especially animal sightings. I don't have many photos of the animals we saw that day because they were too far away & I only brought one lens. Luckily, our guide had a great eye & was able to point so many things out to us.
That's all the writing I have in me right now, friends. If you'd like specifics on where we stayed or travel tips, feel free to leave a comment or contact me directly here: https://www.kallijune.com/contact/. I'm always happy to help!
